In January of this year, Honor introduced the Honor X9a, and now it seems that they are gearing up to unveil its successor, the X9b. This new model was featured on Honor’s Malaysian website, showcasing its rear design. While the overall design bears a resemblance to the X9a with its circular camera island, there are noticeable changes. The camera ring appears thicker, and it protrudes slightly more. Notably, the back panel on the X9b will be available with vegan leather in at least one of its variants. Additionally, the company shared a teaser image on its official X account, revealing part of the front panel. Similar to its predecessor, the front panel will feature a curved display with a centered punch-hole for the selfie camera. The current Honor X9a is marketed as the Honor Magic5 Lite in some regions, but it remains uncertain if the X9b will be sold under a different name. The answers to these questions should be forthcoming, given the “coming soon” tag from Honor.
