iQOO recently unveiled the iQOO 12 in India, and the upcoming addition to their smartphone lineup is the iQOO Neo9 Pro, currently exclusive to China but set to launch in India this February. The specific launch date is yet to be disclosed by iQOO, but a recent post on X teased the red-white version of the Neo9 Pro, featuring a faux leather back and confirming its imminent release in India. Alongside the Neo9 Pro, iQOO also introduced the Neo9 in China last week, sparking curiosity about whether the Indian variant will mirror the specifications of its Chinese counterpart or if it will be a rebranded version of the Neo9. Notably, iQOO’s strategy in India has involved rebranding, as seen with the Neo7 Pro, which was a rebadged version of the Neo7 Racing from China. Comparing the iQOO Neo9 and Neo9 Pro reveals similarities with some notable distinctions. The primary differences lie in the processors and ultrawide cameras. The Neo9 Pro boasts the Dimensity 9300 SoC and a 50MP ultrawide camera, while the Neo9 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and features an 8MP ultrawide unit. Additional variations include the Neo9’s utilization of Bluetooth 5.3, as opposed to Bluetooth 5.4 on the Neo9 Pro, along with different memory configurations. iQOO’s foray into the Indian market with these smartphones reflects the brand’s commitment to offering diverse options with distinct features catering to the preferences of the consumers.
