At event on July 11, The Nothing Phone (2) will finally become official. The smartphone will be shipped with Nothing OS 2.0, the new skin created by the firm over Android 13. As the name suggests, this will be a significant update for the firm. It has been developed as the follow-up to Nothing OS 1.5, which is now available on the Nothing Phone (1). If you own a Nothing Phone (1), you might be wondering when the brand-new Nothing OS 2.0 will be available for it. Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, says that it will be available “by the end of August”. It is not that bad considering that it happened around a month and a half after the Nothing Phone (2) was introduced. Although it is yet unknown what will be different in Nothing OS 2.0, we have heard rumors that the software team practically began from scratch when creating it, so it certainly sounds exciting. We are hoping that Carl Pei’s firm will remember that software support is “very important” when it comes time to update both of its phones to the next Android 14 release. Nothing was definitely not among the quickest to upgrade the Nothing Phone (1) to Android 13.
