Realme Celebrates 200 Million Shipped Smartphones Until Today!

The Realme journey commenced in May 2018 with the launch of the Realme 1 smartphone by Oppo. Since then, the brand has charted its course in the smartphone market, achieving a significant milestone today. Realme, as announced by Sky Li, the founder of the brand, has surpassed 200 million shipments in a little over five years. Doing some quick calculations, this translates to an average of over 40 million shipments per year, considering the relatively subdued sales in the first year.

Renowned for its cost-effective devices offering features that exceed their price range, Realme has garnered a dedicated fan base. Among its current standout devices is the Realme 11 Pro, celebrated for its distinctive design, impressive screen, and rapid charging capabilities. The 11 Pro series represents the latest addition to the immensely popular number series, with customers consistently favoring the Pro solution. Despite this, Realme doesn’t limit itself to mid-range offerings, as evidenced by the imminent launch of the GT5 Pro. Anticipated to captivate fans, this flagship boasts the formidable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and promises a “new era of low-light telephoto imagery,” thanks to a 50 MP Sony IMX890 sensor positioned behind a periscope telephoto lens. Realme’s success story is a testament to its ability to provide feature-rich smartphones at budget-friendly prices, making it a noteworthy player in the competitive market.
