The Chinese electronics corporation Transsion uses Tecno as one of its names for its international markets, particularly in Africa. The Camon series, a kind of flagship line with a distinct focus on the camera experience, is arguably the product line for which the company is best known. The Phantom line, on the other hand, has more or less grown into a distinct creature of its own. one that seeks to offer genuine top products and services. The first Phantom X was released in year 2021, and now the Phantom X2 series is available. Its lineup consists of the standard Phantom X2 and the Phantom X2 Pro. The latter is presently being given the full review treatment at our office. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 CPU, the huge battery, the retractable portrait camera that steals the show, and the Phantom X2 Pro’s striking and ergonomic unibody design all make it a really premium gadget.
The Phantom X2 Pro is clearly geared at photography. With one particular Eco-responsible variant of the phone employing recovered ocean plastics for its back cover, it is also presenting itself as an environmentally responsible phone. The Phantom X2 Pro is an all-around flagship smartphone that does not cut corners on any one aspect of its specification list. A 6.8-inch, 120Hz AMOLED display, dual SIM compatibility, a 5160mAh battery, and quick 45W charging are a few of its further characteristics. All of these features are packaged in a reasonably small frame.
In certain aspects, the Phantom X2 family still resembles its predecessor, but altogether, it represents Tecno’s entry into the really premium flagship market. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 CPU, a curved AMOLED display, and a sizable battery pack are all flagship features of the Phantom X2, which, like its Pro sister, has an attractive luxury appearance and impressive internals. These features are present in both the standard and Pro variants. Most things are, in fact. When creating the Phantom X2, Tecno made the choice to preserve as much of its Pro sibling as they could. In terms of appearance and specifications, the two phones are almost similar. The Phantom X2 Pro’s retractable portrait telephoto camera is conspicuously absent from the vanilla. Even yet, the ordinary Phantom X2 still prominently emphasizes photography. It boasts a big 64MP primary camera with OIS, as well as a massive 32MP selfie camera and a 13MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus.

Conclusion
For Tecno, the Phantom X2 Pro marks a very exciting new route. Such high-end specifications from the often cost-conscious manufacturer are unusual. The Phantom X2 Pro is remarkable on paper in a variety of ways. Featuring a roomy 6.8-inch, 120Hz AMOLED display that is curved on the sides for an extra premium appearance and feel, it features a sturdy metal frame. The phone is powered by the Dimensity 9000 flagship chipset as well. Last but not least, the Phantom X2 Pro’s outstanding camera arrangement screams to be recognized. All three of its rear cameras have autofocus, and its dual 50MP arrangement has a pop-out 2.5x zoom camera. Additionally, overall camera performance has been excellent. However, the foundation soon begins to fracture. Official ingress protection does not exist. It is difficult to utilize the display outside because it does not get very bright. Additionally, there is no support for HDR video, and it is not very color correct. The Phantom X2’s large 5,160mAh battery charges quite slowly. There is only one bottom-firing speaker built into the phone, and it does not function all that well either. All things considered, we view the Tecno Phantom X2 as somewhat of a risk in the present, very competitive, and saturated market. It is able to defend itself when left alone. But generally speaking, its rivals provide better value and more complete products. The Phantom X2 Pro and Phantom X2 still have a potential to succeed in the appropriate market with aggressive pricing. We really do not know if Tecno now has the credibility to create and promote a flagship product in a way that would be successful.
